keep creating, even when you're all out of ideas

What is NGL?

Kris blogs about entertainment, media, and technology that sparks her imagination. She gets perspective on the creative process, like hitting a giant restart button and waking up with better ideas.
Here's to hoping, anyway.

Kicking the Habit

About

When was the last time you’ve reluctantly admitted to liking a movie that everyone else hated? Or been as indecisive as I am about whether to get this shiny piece of technology instead of that one? Yeah, I’m not gonna lie. I’ve been accused of calling “The English Patient” one of my favorite movies. I’m also still sitting on the fence about buying those delicious-sounding Monster Beats headphones by Dre. Problem is, there’s nowhere to talk about it that won’t annoy my online neighbors. I needed a place of my own.

My name is Kris, a video professional from Seattle. Right out of film school, I began my career in corporate media. Although, I have been learned a lot about professional development and running a production business, my creativity has suffered from media overkill. So I created this blog to do something about it. It’s intended to help me keep track of interesting developments in media, entertainment, and technology – and to make this stuff fun again! Most importantly, I’m listening to the little voice in my head telling me to go back to making my own films.

This effort started off as a 2010 resolution to dive deeper into what inspires me. My inspiration has run dry and I’m talking about getting my creative mojo back here. So I’ll be sharing and posting about what excites me…and hopefully in the process go back to making things that I can be proud of. Just me and my writing…saving my creativity from itself!
